Production Associate
$50K- $65K per year
About Cellsense
Cellsense manufactures sustainable products for the fashion, jewelry, and beauty industries utilizing our proprietary material made from Algae and Cellulose. Cellsense aims to replace plastics and resins, and in doing so eliminate major sources of microplastics and heavy metal pollution. With our material, we can achieve a wide range of colors, clarities, forms, and even unique properties such as bio-fluorescence. Our novel manufacturing systems enable us to produce complex beaded textiles at scale, replacing overseas manual labor with highly automated domestic production. Currently, we are focused on scaling up our process while engaging in paid pilots with industry partners. You will join us at an exciting stage of our growth.
The Role
We're looking for a Production Associate to support the manufacturing and design of our bio-embellishments and beaded mesh styles. You'll act as a liaison between brand partners and our internal team, overseeing orders from initial samples through delivery. This role spans hands-on manufacturing like deposition, molding, and polishing alongside project management, including timeline tracking, costing, and client communication. You'll also get broad exposure to product design, prototyping, market research, and business operations. Ideal for someone who likes learning across disciplines and taking ownership of a project from start to finish.
Responsibilities
Own client projects end to end, from initial sample request through final delivery
Build and manage production timelines across multiple SKUs and brand partners
Participate in sketch reviews to clarify design intent, construction details, and material needs.
Execute production processes, including deposition, polishing, 3D printing, and molding.
Test new fabrication methods, colorways, designs, and material finishes
Photograph samples, production progress, and material experiments for brand presentations, social media, and our website
Create content that tells the story of how our products are made and why they matter
Conduct market research and develop new sample collections for upcoming brand meetings
What We're Looking For
Have experience in ateliers, sample rooms, embroidery studios, jewelry production, soft goods, or product development
Are extremely detail oriented and can track multiple requests
Like hands on making and do not mind repetitive work when required
Communicate clearly and can represent the studio professionally with brand partners
Are comfortable learning new tools and working across production, design, and operations
Bonus skills
Embroidery, beading, embellishment techniques
CAD and 3D printing familiarity
Strong product photography or Adobe skills (Illustrator, Photoshop)
What We Offer
Compensation range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
Hands-on role with many opportunities for growth within the company
Health benefits.
Part of a tightly knit team aiming to make a meaningful impact.
