About Cellsense

Cellsense manufactures sustainable products for the fashion, jewelry, and beauty industries utilizing our proprietary material made from Algae and Cellulose. Cellsense aims to replace plastics and resins, and in doing so eliminate major sources of microplastics and heavy metal pollution. With our material, we can achieve a wide range of colors, clarities, forms, and even unique properties such as bio-fluorescence. Our novel manufacturing systems enable us to produce complex beaded textiles at scale, replacing overseas manual labor with highly automated domestic production. Currently, we are focused on scaling up our process while engaging in paid pilots with industry partners. You will join us at an exciting stage of our growth.

The Role

We're looking for a Production Associate to support the manufacturing and design of our bio-embellishments and beaded mesh styles. You'll act as a liaison between brand partners and our internal team, overseeing orders from initial samples through delivery. This role spans hands-on manufacturing like deposition, molding, and polishing alongside project management, including timeline tracking, costing, and client communication. You'll also get broad exposure to product design, prototyping, market research, and business operations. Ideal for someone who likes learning across disciplines and taking ownership of a project from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Attend meetings with design and beauty brands; maintain communication and manage product sampling.

  • Create or edit mold designs based on brand requirements.

  • Build and manage production timelines, ensuring on-time delivery.

  • Participate in sketch reviews to clarify design intent, construction details, and material needs.

  • Execute production processes, including deposition, polishing, and molding.

  • Document production processes: specs, process notes, quality checks, and batch records.

  • Assist with seasonal market research and develop in-house material samples for brand presentations.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience managing the production of intricate design projects from concept to final production.

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Product Development, Textiles, or a related field

  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to track multiple SKUs and timelines simultaneously.

  • Hands-on experience or genuine enthusiasm for working with biomaterials and testing new fabrication techniques.

  • Preferred: Proficiency in CAD and experience with 3D printing is a strong plus.

What We Offer

  • Compensation range: $47,000 - $60,000 per year

  • Hands-on role with many opportunities for growth within the company

  • Health benefits.

  • Part of a tightly knit team aiming to make a meaningful impact.
